Update: Two behind the scenes tours at Epcot will soon be
discontinued. April 27, 2007, the Hidden Treasures
of World Showcase tour will no longer be offered
and as of June 9, 2007, Gardens of the
World tour will no longer be offered.
Behind The Scenes Tours
There are a wide variety of behind the scene tours that you will find
absolutely fantastic and you will find them at a reasonable price.
The programs offer you the chance to experience Walt Disney World from the inside out.
Most of the guided behind the scenes tours are only open for visitors
ages 16 and up.
You are required to have a photo ID when attending the backstage
programs.
Tours and prices are subject to change and include tax.
Back Stage Magic
I have read this is the best WDW program. It is a 7 hour exploration of the Magic Kingdom
Disney MGM, and Epcot. It is a underground tour of the Magic Kingdom's Utilities-Disney's tunnel system.
Lunch is included and there are a few special surprises involved.
Cost is $199.00 per person ( Monday - Friday).
Theme park admission is not required or included.
Back Stage Safari
This 3 hour tour takes you through the back stage of animal facilities
such as the veterinary hospital and the elephant barn at
Walt Disney's
Animal Kingdom. The cost is $65.00 plus the theme park admission and is open on Mondays, Wednesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
Dive Quest
This is a 2 1/2 hour programs that is held daily. It is a 40 minute underwater adventure complete
with sharks, turtles, rays and other fish in The Living Seas aquarium located at Epcot.
You must have a current scuba certification and those who are between the ages of 10-14 must
dive with a parent of guardian. Gear is provided for your use. Cost is $140.00
and park admission is not required or included.
Disney's Family Magic Tour
This is an 2 hour scavenger hunt through the Magic Kingdom.
The daily event cost is $25.00 per person (above age 3).
Park admission is not included but is required.
Dolphins In Depth
This 3 1/2 hour program teaches you about Dolphin behavior as you will interact with the
animals and observe the researchers and trainers as they are working
with them. Times are weekdays at 9:45 A.M. for a cost of $150.00 and includes a souvenir t-shirt. Park admission is not required or included.
You can wear your own swim suit and they also provide a wet suits for your use.
Epcot Seas Aqua Tour
At the Living Seas pavilion there is a 2 1/2 hour program that lets you learn and interact
with the ocean life. You can watch a video about the sea creatures and then join them in their habitat where you
use a supplied air snorkel system. The neat thing about this tour is all profits
made go towards the Disney Wildlife Conservation fund. The experience includes
a group photo, refreshments, t-shirt, and your gear is provided. Cost is $100.00 and you do have to wear you
own swim suit. Park admission is not required or included.
Hidden Treasures of World Showcase
You will take a 3 hour tour to the international pavilions at
Epcot
where you focus on architecture , traditions and international art.
This tour is open on Tuesdays and Thursdays and the cost is $59.00 plus
your park admission.
Gardens Of The World
This tour takes you through a study of plants, flowers and tree's hosted by an horticulturist at
Epcot's World Showcase. It is a 3 hour tour on Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Cost is $59.00 plus park admission.
The Undiscovered Future World
This 4 1/2 tour consist of the creation of Epcot and you will learn about Walt and his legacy
of making his dream of the best place in the creation of
Epcot. The goal
is to share the vision of beside the park and how each area celebrates
the accomplishments and challenges. This is a walking program and you must be at least 16 years old. It begins at 10:30 AM on Monday, Wednesdays and
Fridays. The cost is $49.00. Theme park admission is required but not included.
Wild By Design
This tour is not a behind the scene tour. It invites you to learn how the architecture ,art,
historical and storytelling was created about Disney's
Animal Kingdom. You will explore the various lands and the guide will offer you the
insights of caring for the wild animals and their habitats. This is an outdoor walking tour consisting
of a 3 hour experience and you must be 14 years of age or older. This tour begins at 8:30 A.M. on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Fridays.
The cost is $58.00 per person and a light continental breakfast is served at half way
point of the tour. Theme park admission is required but not included.
Keys To The Kingdom
You will tour a daily 4 1/2 tour on site of Walt Disney's Magic Kingdom that will offer the the
working and history of WDW's original theme park. You will tour underground and take a peek at the
production center and the utilities underneath the tunnels of the park. You will visit an attraction where you will wait in the
regular attraction line. The cost is $58.00 plus and theme park admission.
The Magic Behind The Steam Trains
You will look inside the WDW Railroad and explore Walt Disney's passion
for steam trains and will visit the backstage roundhouse where the steam
trains are stored. You will get to join in the opening crew as they prepare for the daily
railroad operations of the Magic Kingdom. This is a 2 hour tour on
Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays.
Yuletide Fantasy
This program is a seasonal festive experience that shows the way Disney weaves stories and folklore into decoration
found in the theme parks and resorts. It shows the unique colors,
architecture, textures and illusions that help WDW with the beautiful
Deck The Halls for the holidays and is absolutely beautiful. You must provide a photo ID for this programs and be at least 16 years of age.
The cost is $59.00, theme park admission is not included or required.
